Nazareen Ebrahim is a Communications and Technology Specialist, having consulted across a variety of industries over the last 15 years on online and corporate communications and marketing in the Southern African region. Her clients have been predominantly within the technology, education, agriculture, and retail spaces. Consulting services are provided under Naz Consulting International. This is a Level 1 BEE, Black Woman-Owned South African business that has growth plans across the African continent. 

 

Nazareen is an experienced and proficient emcee, moderator, keynote speaker, and panel participant at technology conferences and events, having participated/hosted at Global AI Summit 2022, AI Expo Africa 2022/2021, World Cybersecurity Summit 2021, Oracle South Africa Cloud Data Centre launches, and many others.

 

As the Lead AI Ethics Practitioner at Socially Acceptable, her young organisation is currently developing a framework to guide South African businesses towards integrating a mindset of ethics into future AI builds, working towards the mandate of building a responsible digital citizenry. This is also enabled through our partnership programs to begin building a National AI conversation in South Africa for early 2023.

 

In addition to her extensive portfolio of consulting work, Nazareen has also provided face-to-face training and entrepreneurial mentorship on projects with institutions like Johannesburg's Tshimologong Precinct and Durban's Innovate Durban. Socially Acceptable is a partner to Innovate Durban.

 

Having an acute and intuitive sense of communication has certainly helped the television and radio business shows Nazareen has produced and anchored in the last few years. Over the last decade, her broadcast portfolio has grown with interviews across national and international media houses. She is currently the technology contributor to Lester Kiewet's Breakfast Show on Cape Talk.
